Meet F. Ball’s new technical service officer

F. Ball has strengthened its technical service department by appointing Jason Tatton as a technical service officer.

Based at F. Ball’s Cheddleton site, Jason will provide expert advice to flooring professionals on best practice in subfloor preparation and floorcovering installation and how to get the most out of F. Ball products. He will also assist F. Ball’s regional technical representatives in producing reports advising on the best course of action for specific flooring projects.

It may be said that flooring runs in Jason’s blood; he brings a wealth of knowledge gained through 18 years experience in the flooring industry to the role, having previously managed his family’s flooring business.

Commenting on his appointment, Jason said: “I’m really looking forward to working on a wide variety of projects and speaking to lots of different people. I’ve always enjoyed working in flooring, and the chance to work for one of the industry’s most respected names is a great opportunity. As a flooring contractor, I was in touch with F. Ball’s technical service team, so I realise how important the service is from a professional perspective.”

Jason and his wife Kristy have four children. In his spare time he enjoys walking, travelling and sport, in particular football, and he coaches the football team of one of his sons.

F. Ball’s technical service team is available to answer calls about products and flooring projects from 7.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. It also delivers free training courses for flooring contractors at the company’s purpose-built training centre at its Staffordshire Headquarters.
